Reflection:

After doing this project, I now have a better understanding of what VoiceThread is. It is a twenty-first century medium that students can use to tell their stories. If I choose to use this for my classroom, it would be for upper grade levels. I think is a cool and invigorating way to have students use technology. As for my personal experience with this project, it was not my favorite assignment. It was a trial and error process but very time consuming. If you don't plan for this and have enough time to complete it, it can become very stressful. That is why I think for older students this project would be better suited. They will then have the ability to take responsibility on.

I would have my students use it to tell their creative writing stories, retell a story we read in class, or even to show at parent night. I would give a tutorial several times and have the students do practice runs with the program. For their first assignment that I took this as a grade for, I would grade by completion and if they fulfilled all requirements. After a couple a times of using VoiceThread, I would grade them more strictly. I would also have all of the students at the end of the year do like a video yearbook with VoiceThread to show all of the other classes.
